Sad to report that OR Authentic Thai Cuisine at The Oaks mall has closed its doors. OR opened there in November 2019 in the space previously occupied by Deliteful Low Carb Restaurant (May 2016 to July 2017) and before that, Johnny Rockets. OR previously operated as White Elephant Thai Cuisine on Moorpark Road.
La La Land Kind Cafe is coming soon to The Promenade at Westlake in Thousand Oaks, between Sprinkles and Fresh Brothers. La La Land Kind Cafe offers signature latte drinks, classic coffee drinks, other drinks, toasts, and more. Its location at The Commons at Calabasas opened in late March 2023.

Decker Kitchen closed its doors in Thousand Oaks in December, but today we learned that it will be returning to the Conejo Valley. Its new location will be at the Lake Lindero Country Club, at the corner of Lake Lindero Drive and Thousand Oaks Boulevard. www.deckerkitchen.com
After a two year wait, the Michoacan a Pedir de Boca Ice Cream Shop is "soft opening" on Saturday, April 27th around 1pm or so in the North Oaks Plaza at 1044 E. Avenida de los Arboles in Thousand Oaks, next to Manny's Mexican Grill. Over 20 delicious ice cream flavors and 30 different freshly made ice cream bars. Throwback Thursday Food Truck Fest at the Camarillo Ranch is planned from 5-8PM on Thursday, June 27th and Thursday, July 25th, 2024. Events feature food trucks, including beer and wine, live music, house tours and kids’ activities. Free admission. Located at 201 Camarillo Ranch Road.

Corrigan’s Steak House in Thousand Oaks closed its doors in late 2018. The building was sold and has undergone remodeling since then. Today, the signs of the new eatery went up - “Old Oaks Steakhouse.” No other details or time frame at this point. There is a website at oldoakssteakhouse.com that presumably is associated with this new eatery.
Cafe Ficelle opened on Wednesday, April 10th at 1710 Thousand Oaks Blvd, across from Denino's Pizza. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Beautiful buildout. www.cafeficelle.com
Modern Kitchen at The Shoppes at Westlake has closed its doors. It opened on April 12, 2023 in the former home of The Gallery Restaurant, which closed in February 2023.
